Bill,
what that water tank represents is a small town water supply. They are for
emergencies when normal water supplies have a problem, ie  water main  break
that will take more than12 hrs to fix.  Even small manufactures have them.
Extra water supply. I have one tahat is bigger in my neiborhood.  Some of them
down here help keep water pressure up.
Hope this shed some light.
                                         thanks,
                                                   Alan

All,

This may not be news for some, but there is a HO brass PRR 100,000 gallon
water tank that is quite large. It is made by Railworks. I compared it to a
true S water tank I have.

As you can see it is **very passable**.

There is no spout on this tank. I guess you could add one if you wanted, or
use the various water plug kits or RRM spouts. There is one on eBay
currently for $175.00!

I have it here because it is getting painted tomorrow. I might keep my eye
open for one if the price is right..

Thank You,
Bill Lane
