John and All,

Just because I expressed an opinion about flat panel kits, does not make me
less of a modeler, or anyone else here for that matter. The methods and
materials that we all use to get what WE want are as personal as the
individual doing the modeling. You really don't want to come closer and
comment that I don't do my share of modeling. That is getting close to
fighting words!

Here are 3 links that should prove as much.

While others here might not have their efforts on a website like I do, that
does not make their models any less substantial as well.

If you have not read Jim Kings last post, or even if you have **you may want
to read it again.** (Message #75210)

John and others got the list all jacked up about his boxcar project. After
some cajoling Jim King plugged the heart monitor back in for what I can
absolutely guarantee you all is a **very brief** time period. Then some
people lead by John are now off on praising the wonderful virtues of flat
panel kits. Jim flatly stated (no pun intended) in Message #75210 he would
not ever make a flat panel kit for anyone. That would mean you would have to
find someone else to make them. Is that what you really want? The S Scale
urethane kit manufacturer train only barely has room for 1. Even suggesting
wanting flat panel kits will send Jim running for the hills.

You all need to come up with a unified front of WHAT YOU WANT and >>do it
quickly.<<

Concentrate on promoting THAT item. If John's boxcar project happens there
is a glimmer that there could be something else beyond that project. If it
dies, it will be truly fatal and Jim King's train of opportunity WILL leave
our small town **forever.** I kid you not that there is a lot riding on this
project. Take heed and get out your checkbook, because I will be absolutely
brutal when the crying starts about why "there is nothing new coming out in
S Scale".

Thank You,
Bill Lane
