I also tried to make up my own using the bent paper, but I was afraid of 
gluing them into the proper place (Jettie NYC cars) and then having them 
tear out or somehow mess up the paint.  I had also thought about coating 
them with some kind of rubber-like material to make them more 
durable--another one of those 'round-to-it projects.
