Interchange going on near my back yard as I type. Norfolk Southern's
"Local" is dropping off and picking up various freight cars for the Strasburg
Railroads freight operation. The Strasburg receives cars up to five nights
a week, Sunday thru Thursday, so there is frequently switching after AMTRAK
goes thru Eastbound at 9:30 PM (prox). Strasburg picks up or drops off
cars the next morning, using steam or now primarily diesel. Strasburg
currently owns no "interchange" cars of their own.
