This discussion about whether L. will produce modern and more scale looking rolling stock sent me to the L. catalog from last year. The images of the U33 appear to show pilots that swivel with the power trucks. Even with scale wheels that ain't scale. Does anyone know whether the pilots are that way? It certainly makes for a more challenging and involved scale conversion.
Points to interesting challenges thinking about merging a tinplate/hirail product line and brand legacy with some pretty basic scale attributes.
