I am at 29 dealer and 49 retail reservations. The dealer's tally is
equivalent to 22 retail orders, making the total 71 of the required 80.
C'mon guys . push a little harder to make this happen. Talk it up at your
club meetings and among fellow modelers. It's close.

I'm in for 3 so far, and I suppose I could do 2 more if necessary.

While we're on the subject, would it be possible to have some extra doors made
for folks who want to do the AF-1 and AF-2 auto boxes?

 David (and all),

FYI... it "WAS" my plan to do both the AF-1 and AF-2 cars after the B-7, as I
have access to the original drawings for these cars as well. But all the grief
with the B-7 has changed my mind on this.

New Zealand had/has some great looking steam locos..especially the J's (4-8-2)
and K's (4-8-4).  They're easy to find on YouTube.
Call it dumb tourist luck but at the conclusion of my holiday I was driving
into Auckland April 17th to catch the plane, when I noticed a long string of
cars parked on the other side of the highway and people with cameras  lined up
alongside the adjacent railway track.  I knew something was up and made a hasty
U-turn.  I was rewarded with a shot of double-headed J's pulling a special
steam excursion.

Sorry, no one makes a Fell loco kit. The late Brian Cross did scratchbuild
one, even had working Stephensons outside valve gear!

The K and J loco kits are of 3'6" gague prototypes. In S scale, we run Sn3? on
HO track (with correct ties etc). I'm one of the few here actually doing any S
scale standard gauge. Many years ago, I chanced on some Regal, and Kinsman
kits, so I got those, and built them up to show (mainly) the comparative sizes
of NZ and American stock. Now that I've got an SHS loco, I'm starting on a
switching layout.

Actually, Trentham is a nice station to do for a modular layout. The original
station building that you remember was replaced in 1955 when the line was
electrified, and double tracked (well, the double tracking ends there).

 Steinlager..... headache material!

 All,

You may remember my H27 made from bashed American Flyer cars. Most of the
heavy lifting was done by the late Richard Hall, but I have some time into
it as well. I am definitely going for "something different - good enough"
here as I would not spent the time Richard did in getting it this far. This
will be a noticeably different car on my layout among a group of S Scalers.

It has been about 6 months since I last worked on and posted about my H27.
In that time a friend put some rivets on my otherwise smooth car with the
Archer rivet decals. I had often thought about getting them but just have
not yet. This is my first account I have seen of them on a car at least that
was not painted. http://www.lanestrains.com/S_Scale_H27.jpg Some Archer
decals will be coming my way at some point.

I did some last minute wet sanding. It is going to the paint shop tomorrow.

 Thank You,
 Bill Lane

Which ones did he use? I didn't think Archer had anything of suitable size and
spacing for S.

 Troops,

Didn't sell as many turnouts at Spring Spree as I thought I might so I have
 a limited number of Code 100 #4's, 6's and 8's available.

These are unmounted but ties are included. Mounting possible for extra
 charge.

Please contact me off list for details.

Still had a good time, pretty good crowd and suprising number of scalers
 there.

 Hi Group
We are in the process of hopefully having some custom models built of the WPYR
640 - 647 longitudinal discharge hoppers in HO and S Scale. We are in need of
detailed pictures of the discharge doors and mechanism and an interior shot. I
took some pictures but never climbed up to take a picture of the interior.
 Thanks in advance
