I just got my new toys and have started going through them, generally with
great pleasure.
I am reflecting, however, that with the number of cars I now have, a few are
not quite what
I want for my particular interests, so I wonder if anyone would be interested
in trading something
he sees for something I'd prefer? Some of what I shall list I only just got,
and I mostly was happy
with what I paid, so I am not really interested in reselling them.
I have three AM twin hoppers, a UP ribside kit (untouched), two others neatly
assembled with
CDS lettering--one CRP/CNJ #10175 (I wondered how the road number was the same
as the
one I applied to an AF conversion until I figured it out) and a ribside
lettered for South Pacific
Coast #901--SP-type herald, no idea whether it is prototypical.
Three AM quad hoppers: C&O offset, ATSF offset, UP ribside. Very nice
cars--I've had a B&O quad
for some time that I have no intention of parting with, but I'd really prefer
other road names of
something comparable.
Lastly (at least so far) I have an AM SP U-25 in excellent condition (I assume
it has only been test-tracked);
first, it is awfully big (and probably too modern for me--but I have some
modern cars, too), almost as long
as my SHS 2-8-0, and the SP scheme would not have been my first choice. Open
to possible swaps for
it--say an AM RS-3, for instance, or at least another road name?
Probably some more possibilities as I sleep on all the new stuff and get a
really good look at what is in
the train closet. Everything is scale, of course.
