As I've mentioned on this group in the last couple of weeks, I've been selling
off some former beloved items mostly via ebay. I've got several items listed
now (kuchensd).
I was hoping somebody would find my SP RS-32 a prized item, but it hasn't
received the proper financial backing as yet. I plan on purchasing a similar
model that Ken Zieska has for sale. He wants some pretty good dollars for his,
hence I need some for mine! Funny how that works.
All this has allowed me to pull out some projects that have been waiting in
boxes and drawers, sometimes for years. One was a modified PRS CNW boxcar sold
by Earl Tuscon. It needed some black paint on the roof and ends which has now
been accomplished and a pack of CDS transfers was opened last night. I also
had a PRS reefer in progress that needs some attention. After that I've got to
deal with Pennsy S models G-26 gondola that has been running around the layout
naked! I had hoped it was extremely close to a somewhat similar Milwaukee
version. However the differences were enough for me to be convinced to stay
with the Pennsy lettering--trying to make Cousin Bill proud! So now comes the
search for the proper vintage for the lettering!
