Just remember that for all those who protested or ran away there were
plenty of us who did our job, either voluntarily or otherwise, and
plenty that support and honor our efforts. Anti-military types always
ask me why I volunteered? My answer is, "so they didn't have to."
While I played no significant part in Iraq or Afghanistan (my wars)
my little number on a book somewhere kept them out of it. So, while I
don't agree with them, I'm glad I did my part to allow them the
freedom to object, run away or just plain pretend there are not tens
of thousands of Americans in harms way right this second. Now, those
people protesting at service member's funerals are another things all
together...
