I've uploaded a couple of photos of the progress of modifying Lanes arch
roof that I will be applying to a SHS coach. They are in my READING RAMBLER
album. I will be removing all of the large flat inside slab of resin so that I
can detail the interior with the READINGS resplendent decor.
The resin cast roof is thick enough that I can inlay the wires directly
into the resin for the interior lighting and I will be using a pin attachments
along the side walls to hold the roof in place and provide electrial power to
the roof. The plan is to mill out the entire floor and then seperate the sides
from the ends by cutting through the 4 doors. The doors will be replaced by
working brass replacements along with that plastic end gate. I need the sides
off so I can mill out the plastic along the window belt. Then windows can be
installed with some in the open, some in the closed position.
I know that the READING used Heywood Wakefield Sleepy Hollow seats in their
modernized cars but have no idea what they were before. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Maybe I'll fly to PA in a few weeks and check out the
READING historical group. I've been a member for several years and still have
never even been there.
I have a commitment on a much bigger project that I can't seem to get going
on. Hopefully playing around with this plastic stuff will get me more in the
mood.
