I was just doing some final TLC touch up repairs to my BTS depressed center transformer flat car I got from Stan's estate. It is a very nice car BTW - if you have not bought 1 yet. I will be getting the BTS transformer load for it soon. Pieter sent me some HO New Haven decals I will get on the car after I paint it black from its current freight car red.
I was also going through my misc flat car photo folder looking at the few photos of the transformer car when I came across another interesting car. Somewhere I wound up with about 10 photos of an "Adapto" flat car and containers. The 5 high resolution photos I have are mostly of getting the car unloaded and of the containers. From my very limited knowledge of trucks I am guessing the photos are from the late 50s to early 60s. If there was ever a car I could pull off making in Solidworks it is this flat car! Very simple - only 2 wheelsets and minimal rivets. I guess it is about 35' long. Apparently Rock Island had some of this equipment. That is the only distinguishable road I have in my photos.
