Hello every one,
Well I joined this group as I have decided to make a change in my model
railroading activities.
I will be switching from an O narrow gauge, freelance theme, to S standard,
modeling a Reading branch line, the Chester Valley.
Multiple forces. First, my parents downsized, and I was provided with 50
years of Model RR mags.
I quickly came to appreciate the drawings of J. Harold Geissel , and his
Chester Valley layout.
The S scale part comes into play, in that I have just re motored THE Frank
Titman Reading T1.
There where some earlier messages on the where a bouts of this engine.
During the process I came to appreciate the advantages of S scale.
( note the T1 was run from time to time with the North Penn S gauge group by
my father, until about 2007, when the steel worm decided to eat the brass
bull gear. not real sure when he bought it, but +/- 2000 seams about right)
I also happen to live in the Downingtown area, the end of the former Chester
Valley Branch.
