Bob, Tom is now offering a RoundHouse with more of a Eastern RR look in 90 and 120' lengths. This RH has a different style roof and rectanular doors and windows. Have to tried to call him lately? He has been very responsive to my emails and phone calls. I have no problm forwarding this info to Tom but would rather you try to contact him for a resolution first. His orders are well above last year so maybe he is just swamped. Ed Sauers

I was supposed to build it and do a review for the S gaugian. I had built much of the machine shop and was about to began on the engine house. Unfortunately the written instructions didn't match the drawings--nothing matched, resulting in confusion. At that point I contacted Tom, who was traveling at the time. He later understood the problem and was going to make some corrections. I've never heard back from him. When I write any kind of product review, I have to decide how to approach such a situation. If the kit is great, I'll mention it. If the kit has some problems, I'll try and reach the manufacturer to seek a remedy because it doesn't do anybody any good to just badmouth a product. However, I won't deceive readers and possible purchasers either. So I'm still waiting for corrected instructions---guess he's forgotten about me! I will say that they look like neat buildings, but with also some of the most unusual framing of the building. I've built dozens and dozens of kits but never one remotely like that one. I was looking forward to it. The version of the engine house I have is very short so unless he's changed it won't hold most of our engines. It's seems ideal for a logging/mining or other shortline uses.
