I've got an MRC S scale decoder in a AM RS-3. Very happy with sound and motor control. Better brake squeal than Tsumami in my opinion. Only downside I see is harder to blow short whistle blast than on Tsumami. But not sure I need $160 better short whistle. I do have Tsumami's in 3 locos that came with them. Apparently some earlier MRC's were too loud, but I found a CV that sets 0 thru 3 and 1 has been a nice level with 3 locos going at once on the layout. These come with a larger speaker which some feel gives better sound.
