My thoughts are with Bill. And for him. My parents are long gone. 

And another quiet part of life is whe some of your best friends go off wiith a 
group of marines, and never come back.
You survive it, but all of this is the reality of life we must face. You never 
forget.  And should not.

  EXACTLY! WELL SAID! Sorry for your fathers illness Bill and my condolences. 
My step-father died on our wedding anniversary after a 5-1/2 hour drive to a 6 
hour destination. Needless to say we didn't quite make it. There is no way that 
loss will ever be forgotten. Life is strange sometimes.
