I have not added the photos from yesterday http://www.lanestrains.com/My_Layout.htm here is the basic footprint http://www.lanestrains.com/My_Layout_Photos/Corner_Frame.jpg I was going to back up the aluminum with braces to tie into at the center, but winged it and tried it without. http://www.lanestrains.com/My_Layout_Photos/Corner_Frame.jpg
The aluminum is 3 x 1/8 bent to 38 radius. It did not put up too much of a fight. I wanted 4 x 1/8 to match the 4 frame rails but the place I get my aluminum did not have anything that thin x 4 wide. The 3 is going to be **plenty** strong especially when screwed to ¾ plywood. The random cross braces on the first frame are temporary. I did not know or want the whole thing to go boink and spring out of shape when I removed it from the fixture. To the best of my knowledge it did not move at all. I have the materials to make another complete set of 4 frames. I have made the offer to someone to see if he wants them. If not, the set could be for sale. Once I break down my work table in about a month there is no going back. The offer will be gone forever.
