Larry....

The annual NASG AF-compatible car is made by Lionel in the Lionel factory
wherever it is located. This car is sponsored by the NASG.

The 2011 NASG convention car is a different car NOT made by Lionel. It is made
in Illinois from brand new tooling. This car is sponsored by the BASS S scale
club in the San Francisco Bay area which was host group in charge of the 2011
convention recently held in "S"acramento.

These two cars are two different unrelated projects. One is a typical Lionel
product usually with a new and different paint scheme and other variations.
The other is made in both AF-compatible and scale versions and comes in both
kit and RTR offerings.

I have no idea if Lionel still manufactures products in the USA. Perhaps
someone with more Lionel knowledge can answer that question for you.

Like to buy an SP sugar beet car? I can steer you to the right place to order
one. Bill Roberts always smiles when another check shows up in his mailbox.

Cheers....Ed L.
