All,
I just received a Walthers HO train shed kit I think could be used as the main structure for my passenger station. The most I think I will have to do is raise it a bit by putting the support posts on concrete pillars. It is 2 feet long in 1 kit. I have not decided if I was another kit yet. But I will have tracks in the station area that are 8-11 feet long. So coming out from the big train shed I want to have "umbrella" sheds like here in Atlantic City http://www.lanestrains.com/Atlantic_City.jpg to cover the rest of the sidewalks. I am not sure if I want the inverted roofs like Atlantic City or flat roof, but I am sure I don't want A frame roofs. Where any of these supports ever made in white metal or other for S Scale? I seem to remember an old school Ulrich kit in HO. Does anyone have a drawing of the supports? If none of the above exists, these supports could be my next project. I would create them in Solidworks and most likely do brass or pewter casting. Any interest in S land in train shed supports?
