Thursday Nite Fun.

A family we know asked if they could bring their two boys (oldest is 9) over to
see my "trains". The oldest is the one that is nuttier about trains than I was
when I was his age; I didn't think that was possible.

Anyway, I ran an abbreviated day's sequence of operations beginning with the
passenger trains, through the daily freight and culminating in a reefer train.
He couldn't get enough!

I didn't think kids were that impressed with railroads in this day and age, but
he proved to be the exception to that theory. By the time the operating session
was over, he was lining switches and giving hand signals at least as good as
Andre. Next time, I'll let him have a little throttle time.

Guess I'll have to see if he and his dad want to come to St. Louis for a day
this Fall. He ought to like that! Maybe we can make an S scaler out of him.

Now, I have to dream up a tall story for tomorrow's FNF
