A good email friend from Vancouver, Canada told me about a Preston 151 S scale
or gauge truck on sale at Diecast Direct.
I was interested as the trucking company is from Preston, MD a very small town
on the eastern shore of Maryland and you used to see these trucks a lot up and
down the east coast and maybe westward.
Linda grew up near Preston so I ordered one since it might remind her of her
roots. However, she could not wait to leave the Eastern shore as a kid.
Because it was really desolated.
I also got a Carolina truck, along with a Swift Premium food truck since I was
in the food business for 25 years, a truck that was in Bangor Maine, Coles? as
we go to Maine every October.
A few others including a finally needed 1965 Police car in S to keep the town
of Dingburg, MD also known as the D&K RR Company town, under control while Hugo
runs amuck with bribes from every business in town.
So, the total of the order was 103.00.
So with my order and then buying a hair dryer at Target this week for 20, since
the new one, a Conair died in less then a year, has got things rolling again in
the town of Dingburg MD USA.
So thanks to our friends north of the border all is well again.
