I have been looking for a video of the Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, HO
layout that was at the National Trains Show, in conjunction with the NMRA/NASG
Convention. I finally found it tonight on this video link:

The video includes interviews and photos of two layouts:
No. 1 Best of Show was the Edmonton group. I wish the video on this
layout was longer. They explain a little about their use of a few Faller car
system vehicles. This was an unbelievable layout but this is the first video
I have been able to find that covered this layout..
No. 2 Best of Show was the Free-Mo layout. The interview is with the guy
who led the clinic on Free-mo that I attended and he explains a little about
Free-Mo. There are some other videos out there that cover (actually
promote) the Free-Mo layout. .
This is all HO but we might get some good ideas that could be used in S.
I sure wish something like the Faller car system becomes available in S and
that it becomes affordable. I had a good time with Bud Rindfleisch at the
convention, and I remember his predicting that model railroading will see
unbelievable electronics become available and affordable in the next few
years. I hope Bud's predictions come true.
