  That's why us folks out here on the other side of the island use search light 
signals. Only one head, with up to four colors, plus blinking, no confusion, 
like who's on first, what's on second, etc, etc.

Oh Crap!
Anyway, as a diversion from accomplishing any real work on my railroad I am 
building a Model Memories C&O signal bridge. It would appear that the C&O used 
red on top of their three light heads. Didn't most roads use green on top? 
There is a two light head below the three that appears to have a red light on 
the bottom. What color is the top? My current goal is to add LED's to light 
these heads. Do the electronic devices that folks use to drive these signals 
have a preference for making the plus side or the minus side of the LED's the 
common? Of course LED's will only light with the correct polarity. Any thoughts?
