"I don't find anyone in our scale that can honestly complain. I feel in my 50
years in S gauge we are raising to a peak. New modelers coming in, old modelers
coming back, Bill Lane building a neat scale layout, as are many others, I just
feel we are in good times!"

I totally agree Bill. It wasn't this easy to find what I wanted back in 2000
when I took a looksee at "S" and should have stayed. This time around I've been
able to find pretty much anything I want in either the secondary market and
from our "S" Hobby Shops.......and in many cases duplicates! That's part of the
fun of "S", you have to look around a little...but watch out, because you'll
find more than you expected....quickly.

We're living in a golden age for "S" scale IMHO. As soon as all the "good guys"
can get their China connection straightened out we'll be swamped with new
products.

As for newbies coming to "S" and others returning, I think Dick Karnes deserves
some credit for his "S Curves" column in "Model Railroad News" as it puts "S"
out there in the mainstream every month. He loves "S" scale and it shows in his
column.
