There's myself and one other S standard guage modeler living in Ottawa that I know of, neither of us have an operating layout at the moment, and a gorgeous Sn3 layout operated by Bill Scobie. No S in the hobby shops. However there's a very active NMRA group known as the St. Lawrence Division and folks will make you feel welcome.
