We are planning to offer a speeder in S scale and expect both an open version
with a roof and closed version. We are seeking input from the group as to
several options. We believe we can offer 12mm and 9.6mm wheels, and three power
versions, DC, DCC ready, and DCC equiped. We expect to have a trailer to improve
operation over switches. It is expected the model will come equipped with
headlight, flashing yellow roof light and a red light on the back of the
trailer.
We would appreciate your opinion with reference to the above especially wheel
size and DCC options.
It is expected that the model will sell in the $135-$150 range without DCC.

Gerry,

A speeder in S scale is a fabulous idea! Don’t know that wheel diameter is
that critical.....whatever it takes to make it run reliably. However, wheels
should be available with both scale as well as hi-rail flanges. I’m guessing
that it would be constructed of some form of plastic except for
wheels....yes/no? All the listed amenities and options sound great! Be
advised that some of us will have some concerns about deposits as the last
person that promised a speeder made off with the all the deposit bucks, never
to be herd from again. To further complicate the matter, he is/was from out of
country. Scammers name is deliberately omitted, but available via email upon
request.
