Yes, the article is slanted towards the newbie and there was a lot left out
of the article. Matter of fact for what Jim is writing about, you could
possibly call it poorly written, or perhaps more kindly, short changed, a
page filler, if you will.
Regarding starter kits, we have them in S gauge too!
I've been in S gauge since 1962, and it really never bothered me in the
early years as A.C. Gilbert took care of the national S Gauge popularity in
that time period. But we've come a long way since then and now S gauge has
so much to offer, besides, how difficult would it be to place a S Gauge
locomotive in there with the others on that page?
I guess I'm old and grumpy, but I'll tell you one thing, I'm very glad to be
an S Scaler and what I model in is on the bottom of all the model railroad
popularity piles. Gulp!
At least I know who I am and where I stand!
