We encourage you to consider signing up for this event if and when it is announced. East Broad Top web site: http://www.ebtrr.com Strasburg: Our goal is to showcase snowclearing activities - both human and mechanical - if we have sufficient snow, then operate a special freight train. If we have no snow, we'll operate a freight train all day. If it takes all day to clear the right of way, there may be less time to operate the freight train. DATE: Friday - Saturday, February 10-11, 2012. On Friday evening, we'll feature a night photo session centered around J Tower, featuring several human interest scenes. On Saturday, we anticipate operating two consists. We hope to start the day by clearing the right of way using Strasburg's Russell Snow Plow 66, powered by 2-10-0 no. 90. Once the line is clear, we'll feature Norfolk & Western 4-8-0 no. 475 on a freight consist. No. 475 will debut a new look - its headlight will be be centered on the smokebox door for the first time since 1957. Schedule details will be provided to participants. COST: $275.
