This month's Model Railroader magazine (which I subscribe to and read cover to
cover) says that modelers own on average 36 locomotives. I own three. Does one
of you own 69?

I would consider any unit, whether it be an A, or B, or C, or D, or whatever,
that is powered, to be a locomotive of sorts. Darn if that figure doesn’t just
about equal my inventory in standard S scale. I can add about another ten in
HO. All the HO are DCC with sound and I’m slowly converting the S locomotives.
Now, all we need is an average ownership for rolling stock.....I’m afraid to
look!
