This morning I was contacted by an associate editor for Kalmbach books.
I just sold them the rights to use a layout shot for their yearly
calendar. It will be a now-vintage shot of Ken Stanley's Sn3 layout.
He named it Grubstake and Bullquartz or something like that. Ken was a
geologist for Exxon, so all his rock strata and shapes were
prototypical. I don't recall exactly when I shot the layout but likely
about 10 years ago. So at this point Ken's layout and/or my work are
considered classics or they just couldn't find enough excellent images
for reproduction.
Unfortunately the layout is long gone and so is Ken.
