It has been an interesting conversion direction of late with the quantity of
locomotives owned. I had to among other things this week close on selling
the house I grew up in and clear it out beforehand so I had no time to reply
until now. If this coming week was not going to be so busy just for a goof I
might get out all of my locomotives to see how much track I would fill. Like
some that replied I have various categories as well.

I have:

Running with DCC/Sound installed and painted. I could say with some
certainty I have 50+ running feet in the category. They are favorite locos
or were a piqued interest project that caused me to get the loco completed
to this level.

A few painted without DCC. The SD40 comes to mind. I look at it but so far
has remained on the someday list. It has not made it to the sell list - yet.

In progress - could be painted or not. They have had some to a **lot** of
effort thrown at them. There are MORE here in this condition than I care to
admit. My 1 month attention span was exceeded before the loco got finished
so back in the box it went. The good thing is when I come back to it the
loco is fresh but not starting at the beginning. Some have been through this
cycle more than once. I know my M1a to M1b conversion is rather high on this
list with only minor needs to head to the paint booth.

Brass locos and a few Rex with nothing done to them. Some to a lot of effort
besides painting will have to be exerted to satisfy my plans for each one of
them.

Kits - the SMMW FM and A B A Omnicon Shark set with none to almost no work
completed.

Bill Lane
