I'm not Bob, but Jim Six has had his photos mounted on Masonite for several years with no ill effects. He used DAP adhesive (same stuff he used to hold his track in place) to hold them on, and it has held up as well, with no bubbling like you might get from white glue. Photos have been in recent Model Railroad Planners, as well as in MR. He used to butt the photos together, but now overlaps them by a quarter inch - surprisingly you can't see the overlap.
