I have been skipping the list this week, it seemed like all rehashing of old
stuff but when I say Jim Kindraka got sucked in, I had to see what was up.
Well, it the weekend so what the heck. I realize it sucks to be in S Scale, I
figured that our about 50 years ago when I couldn't go down to the hobby store
and buy whatever I felt I needed. Sure it got a bit better for a while but
building a layout is still a pain because I need to make many of my own
turnouts. Now my biggest gripe is that I don't have time to spend working on
the layout, nothing new there, same old problem.
Oh yes, I have not run the layout much this last year but it only took about
ten minutes to be up and running fine for an open house. I bought a few new
engines through the SHS sale and they run great, look great and I am delighted.
Hey, the Pines and Prairies get to be involved in the digging and hole busting
projects also. We are calling in Ron "Hammer Drill" Kemp, Ben the voice of
structural reason and a couple of other who can wield a sledge hammer to bust a
couple more holes in Steve's basement to add more railroad. If there is
anything good about the slowdown in new product, it keeps Steve from adding
more things that he just has to fit on the layout.
Anyway, I need to go do things, enough self pity because I didn't change to HO
50 years ago when I had the chance but I can't change now..... I just have too
much stuff in S.
