Among the other goodies from S Fest was a Mullet River CB&Q wood caboose, as
sold exclusively by Ron Sebastian. Has anyone built one yet, and what did you
use
for trucks? So far as I can tell, there is nothing in S scale suitable for the
short
wheelbase wood-frame trucks required by the prototype (All Nation produced their
own correct trucks when they introduced their O scale kit many years ago).
A similar problem would exist for C&NW wood cabooses, as they used caboose
trucks
quite like them (in fact, Lobaugh offered them in O scale about the time I was
born,
and that isn't yesterday).
