Is there any guidance, or "rule of thumb" WRT 110 VAC to 12 VDC power
supplies.
1. How many should one have per given length of track?
2. How many Amps should they have?
3. Does the amount of track length supported by a power supply change on
grades, with multiple MUed Units, and Helpers?
4. Should non-track, i.e. switches, signals, turntables, etc. have there own
power supply.
5. How many feeder wires per power supply should be used?
6. How is all of this affected by the use of DCC?
Any advice would be appreciated. Have a bunch of #2 stranded cable, i.e
Welding Cable, since LA County won't let us use for Motion Picture Lighting
anymore, except as ground wire. So could have one big honkin 40 Amp DC power
supply and run it all over the place.
