Trend has been to use an automotive bulb to limit current to track. More forgiving (& cheaper) than electronic circuit breakers, and helps trouble shoot problem areas. Electrically using higher rated components (i.e. overkill) translates into longevity. Dennis H. Soon to be in Saratoga
