Well, I managed to get a few things done, Bill, your package has been shipped,
like so many other projects around here it has suffered paralysis of analysis.
I created the window openings for another piece of my view block but I have
been vexed by the feeling that the view block was not placed correctly. I have
been pondering this problem and think that I need to try a change before I go
any further on the construction of Pine River and Bohemian Flats. I need to
get past this and then get away from scene building for a while and enjoy
another part of the hobby.
I spent a couple of hours over at Dave Hamilton's operating on his Burlington
Route, great fun. He has a wonderful layout, it operates well and there are
many fun positions to select. I ran a "turn" this time but have done the
yardmaster and road freight engineer also. Still, I must say that I do enjoy
the operations of an S Scale layout.
The Pines and Prairies Wall Wrecking Crew awaits with hammer drill, sledge
hammers and saws all. Prepared for the opportunity to create cement dust and
mayhem in Steve Doyle's basement. We are all working on collaborating alibis
so that we may be spared the wrath of "she who must be obeyed" in the Doyle
household. There is a time when a man must stand on his own two feet, at such
a time he can count on true friends who would face any wrath with him. I hope
he can find a few.
A last bit, I still have for sale a four car Zephyr, DCC installed that would
look good under someone's tree as a gift for the S Scale modeler with
impeccable tastes.
