I went to a TCA train show here in Nashville this morning and placed high
quality laser-print on photo paper promotions of the 2012 NASG Convention in
Chattanooga. I enlarged the text and photo of the NC&StL convention box
cars. With the enlargements, they were perfect for 11 by 14 signs. They
really look great.

I set out two versions of the signs. One was simply the first page you
see on the website, just larger. The other one was simply the convention car
enlarged further on 11 by 14 photo paper printed landscape.

There was one of each sign placed at the registration table along with 30
sets of the registration and car order forms at the front table.

I thought this was an ideal place to promote the convention for a couple
of reasons. First, Nashville is within a little more than a two hour drive
from Nashville. Second, the NC&StL Convention cars may get the attention
of some of the local American Flyer guys since Nashville was the
headquarters city of the NC&StL.

I also talked up the convention to vendors who had American Flyer or other
S gauge items for sale at their tables, and to a couple of tables that sell
 railroad books and things.

I saw several local S gaugers and made sure all of them knew of the
convention. These included NASG member Ron Hirst, Bob Iannacone, George
Greenwood, Robert Rogers, and Raymond Siler from Chattanooga.

I do not know if this will do a lot of good but I am trying. I hope some
scalers will come out of the woodwork here in Nashville but the only other
scaler I know in Nashville is Jim Sleeth. But if we can get some American
Flyer guys to Chattanooga, they will at least get exposed to S scale along
with the highrail.

My 11 by 14 posters are in two WORD documents. Let me know if you would
like for me to send these documents as email attachments so that you can use
them to promote the convention at your local train shows.
