Much as I admire the J-1, and much as I respect Ed and John, I maintain that the Southern Railway Ps-4 is the most beautiful steam locomotive ever made. Essentially no chance one will ever show up in S due to small numbers of SR adherents, but I harbor the fantasy of kitbashing one with an Overland light pacific drivetrain as starting point. Actually my best hope is probably to find a craftsman to do the kitbashing for me, as such a project is beyond the scope of my skills.

So why shouldn't we in S have one also? Consider this a request for "indications of interest" for a Boo-Rim brass product imported by River Raisin Models with the usual price tag. Of course RRM knows nothing about this drum beat at this time. But with enough volume perhaps they will tune their ears to our music. Are there any more drum beaters out there in S-land? Maybe at least 75 or so? Post your beat here so we can stimulate each other. Hope springs eternal - especially in S scale. Ed L.
