No part of the AM NYC Hudson would cross over to the J-1s. The cylinders,
drivers, trailing truck, boiler, tender trucks, etc. for the J-1s are all
different than for the J-3s. If AM had made a non-streamlined J-3a, then the
pilot and smokebox front could be used. That's it. Well, maybe the valve gear
hanger and the loco frame.
