I alway spray delrin handrails with adhesion promoter first. You can get this at any auto parts store. It's designed for painting plastic car bumpers. It works great! The paint will not peel or flake.

These items appear to be delrin or some other type engineered plastic and I wasn't sure which paint would stick and which wouldn't. Any suggestions would be appreciate. BTW, this is my 1st AM diesel and I can't say enough about how impressed I am with its operation. It just glides across the rails as smoothly and quietly as any locomotive I've ever own regardless of gauge or cost. All wheel electrical pick-up, simple drives that is smooth and quiet and it should be a dream to add DCC. With all the discussion about the exposed gear drive in the new Lionel U-33C, they could take some pointers from AM.
