Maybe so when it comes to the freight cars.  And I have to admit that my 
comment was directed squarely at Lionel's diesels (because the U33 was the 
focus of this topic for a spell)... not their other stuff.

Me, on the other hand, would rather see Atlas' O scale stuff made available in 
S.  I have my doubts that Lionel's stuff can compare to the Atlas stuff in the 
'niceness' category.

     You just have to know which ones to look for. Lionel has a broad range of 
quality and scale fidelity in their O line. The best stuff is right up there 
with the best of O scale. check out the photo of their CD PS2 covered hopper in 
my "daves stuff" album, it comes with rotating bearing trucks and only needs 
new wheels to be ready to roll on a scale layout. They make similar quality 
center flow hoppers, boxcars, flatcars, tank cars etc. I'd love to have them 
all available in S scale...DaveBranum
