It would be worth checking with Rails UnLimited, but I don't know if they use
CAD based systems like Jim King or rely on scratch built masters like most
other resin car makers. If the latter, they need someone to do the building and
their only advantage is the data gathering is done.

There was a Mainline Modeler article on building these cars in HO from regular
AAR steel boxcars (before all the decent plastic versions were released the
past couple of years). I don't recall what if anything the author did about the
roof, which is NOT a Murphy rectangular panel roof on most if not all the Milw
cars.

Colin,

The info about Rails Unlimited is good news, as the design work is half the
battle, which is why it might be hard to convince Jim King to do the project,
even with 100 orders. Jim likely would have a hard time getting many HO orders
to spread out the cost of design work, as the car has been done in HO already.
It would be great if we could get Ted to shrink the car down to 1/64.

Hi Tom

Thanks for update, if the project takes off again,
I'll order a couple. I wonder if Ted at Rails Unlimited could help with the
project as he already has resin kits for these cars in O?
