They say history repeats itself!
Looking at all the American Flyer conversions reminds me of the old days. When we carried tool boxes and models with us to our monthly meetings and chopped up American Flyer, Marx and Lionel rolling stock to S scale for our layouts. I can still see Frank Titman and Barry Mertz one afternoon at my home, chopping and filing down the plastic steps, etc. on AF Hopper rolling stock. Gosh ! Ain't it wonderful! .... How much of that chopped up stuff are we still running on our layouts today, I'll bet it's a lot. Keep up the nice modeling, its what we in S scale do and are well known for.
