The weather held off and I made a trip to Des Plaines Valley for Saturday night. Managed to successfully trouble shoot the lighting circuit in a 2-10-2 and get everything operational. The LokSound decoder has just the right sound for it and now all the lights work! We then focused on getting my CRI&P E units running together in a consist. I attached some photos of the E6 - E8 combination running "elephant-style"; which seemed to happen a lot on "The Rock". The E6a has twin seal beam lights in the bottom and a Mars light in the top casting. Still have to complete all the lighting installation on the E8.
Got an update from Sam McCoy on his home (re)construction project and the news about Athearn from Ron Sebastian. Ron also had the latest incarnation and progress on the SD45 - it's going to look great with my U33c. When I headed out into the cold night, John Griffin and Chuck were getting the latest tank car from Iron Rail Models in shape. Iron Rail sure makes some nice tank cars!! Enjoy...
