Ron Bashista, proprietor of American Models, and Joe, his foreman, came to our SMSG club meeting yesterday (Sunday) and reported that two 40-foot ISO containers have been delivered to their site in South Lyon, Michigan.
Although they had so-far only opened 3 of the 42 boxes in the containers, they believe they have received all of their molds or tools. The system is apparently not perfect, since Ron said they received in a previous shipment some apparently G gauge sideframes, obviously not theirs. Ron also mentioned that much of the old AM line like boxcars, gondolas, and maybe the FP7 have always been made in Michigan (mostly). Tom Hawley -- Lansing Michigan
