Way to go!

In many discussions recently the idea of promoting S has been mentioned. Do you
know that NASG is promoting S at Train Shows? This year I believe it is in four
cities, NASG pays for the booths to be manned by local NASG members at the
Worlds Greatest Hobby on Tour Train Shows (www.wghshow.com). I believe the
cities this year are Indianapolis, Chicago, Salt Lake, and Portland. Possibly
Cincinnati is after. The first two shows are history. I will be manning the
booth in Portland February 25 & 26th.

The main purpose is to promote S, both scale and hi-rail, to the model
railroading community at large. Many of you saw the booth at the show in
Sacramento during the NASG Convention. That is exactly the kind of booth we are
talking about.

In the booth I will have on display 15-20 of my locomotive collection,
including both scale and hi-rail. Also, I will have a couple loops of S-Helper
track running trains. The scale locos that I have that do run, unfortunately
need a wider radius than I will have available. So I will be running hi-rail
only. But those running will include AM, Lionel, and my one S-Helper diesel
switcher. So there will be some of the nicer ones there.

But since I haven't seen this mentioned, I thought I would let you know what
NASG is doing for you.

Al Baker
