Hi all;

I was fortunate to meet more than a couple of list members at the Amherst. Not
too many showed up at the suggested 1:00 Saturday meeting by the Bristol club
layout; orĀ  maybe you did but we didn't know how to spot one another. I did
enjoy meeting quite a few folks here and there, as well as seeing some people
that I only get to spend time with at Springfield.

Thanks to Don for the kind words on my USRA cars, and thanks to him for
providing a great product to work with! I've attached a couple of photos, the
weathering looks a bit harsh in full sunlight, but you can see the modified
lower door track. The end view shows the as-built vertical brake shaft and Earl
Tuson's Carmer cut leavers. Many U.S.R.A. built cars kept these features until
scrapped in the 1950's or even early 1960's.

Also shown are two shots of the River Raisin 0-6-0s.

I also got to see castings for the forth-coming DPH X29 and Fowler boxcars,
they will be a great addition to S! To answer Ed's question, the Ridgehill car
is a 36 ft car for the Canadian roads. The DPH car is 40 ft car of D&RGW
(standard gauge) prototype.

I see a mention on the Steam Era Freight Cars list of S Scale P-70 coaches at
the show, somehow I missed those altogether!

Final image is of the Sn2 Crew setup, very nicely done versions of Alna (as it
stands today), Randolph on the Kennebec Central and Head Tide cut on the WW&F.
