Try American Models, He has a few [40' containers in S scale].

Mr Lambert is confused, or is more perceptive than many. American Models
has some 40 foot semi-trailers that are painted to represent 40 foot
containers on chassis. (In the real world, a chassis is a sort of flat-bed
trailer specifically made to carry containers.) APL and Southern come to
mind. There may be others. You can tell they're supposed to be containers
on chassis because the reporting marks end in U. Trailer markings end in Z,
if they're marked for RR accounting.

Having said that, the trailer bodies can have thier wheels and landing gear
removed and used as containers. They don't have the distinct corner
castings that allow containers to be stacked and interlocked, but If you
don't let your visitors get within 20 feet, they may not even notice. A
friend of mine took the APL trailer, minus the wheels &c and added some
detailing in relief to the front end to make it look like a reefer
container.
