I just ordered my U33 wheelsets today from Lionel. Initially they told me
they were $60 but then understood a little better what the call was about. .

Lionel is a strange beast. Whoever gets the e-mails at [email protected]
and whoever answers the phone when you dial the number in the manual seem
not to live on the same planet.
When I said wheelsets the lady on the phone started talking about "trucks."
Put 2 & 2 together, and maybe that indicates trucks can be had for $60
(each? pair?)

. . . . . . . . . . have you attempted to install your wheelsets yet?

No, but it shouldn't be hard. Just save all the little parts & screws.

"Legacy" electronics off my hands! . . . . . . .

Same here and for lots of us probably. I had an interested person in the
club, but he was hoping there was a wiring diagram. Apparently so far there
isn't.
