  Hi Butch, Thanks for responding. I've been working on the plan while 
finishing off the room. Still have to install a ceiling so it will be a while 
longer before I can start building benchwork. The more I've looked at it the 
more I've decided to simplify the design.Version 2 had more switches and a bit 
better visual appeal but seemed a bit complicated when I thought about building 
it. S doesn't have a lot of supplies to work with so I think making less 
scenery to build might be worthwhile.
 The design represents a branch line about 20 or 30 miles long coming off the 
UP in the central valley of California and working it's way thru small towns of 
East Bonnieville,Guadalajara, Old Mission, Oil Jct., Citro, till it gets to the 
end of the branch at the  Terrabella cement plant. A branch line at Oil jct. 
connects back to staging so trains can run continuous loops when desired, 
normal operations would be from staging to Terrabella and return with a short 
run up the Oil jct. branch to a drilling supplier.... DaveBranum
